Programs and Classes are offered to our Members for
no additional
fee.
Non-Members may participate in classes by purchasing a
punch card for $40.00, good for 10 classes. You may purchase punch cards
at the YMCA sign-up desk. Drop in for all classes is $5.00. (exceptions:
“Adventure in Storytime" is free to everyone;
Drop-in Preschool is $4/hr for Members and
$5/hr for non-Members, per child.) All classes In 2008, there is no
registration - classes are DROP-IN ONLY.

1-2-3 GROW:
(Ages 1 to 3 with a parent)
During this hour of activity,
parents and toddlers will have a wonderful time making new friends, playing
games, singing songs, creating arts and crafts, and enjoying a social snack time
together.

TIME: Tuesday and
Thursday 10:00a.m. - 11:00a.m.
ADVENTURE IN STORYTIME:
(Ages 3-5; age 2 with parent)
Children love to have stories
read to them!! Storytime will provide 30 minutes of reading, finger plays,
songs and make believe activities for your young child. Good reading habits
need to start at an early age. Remember... the “Young Readers” of today are the
“Future Leaders” of tomorrow.

** ART
CRAZE (Ages
3-5)
Glue!...Glitter!...Paint! OH MY! This class is designed to help your children
express themselves in a creative and fun way. They will have a chance to make fun
crafts and big messes. The best part is we do all the clean up!

BALLET- Beginning 1 & 2:
(Ages 4-6)

Have a child that loves
to swirl and twirl than this introduction to Ballet is for you. Instruction
will focus on learning correct stretching, and simple ballet movement. Through
the process of learning and performing students will also gain self-confidence
and discipline. Come discover the fun of dancing on your toes. Students need to wear
comfortable clothes, dance shoes, and have their hair pulled back. This
class may require and additional fee for recital.

BALLET- Intermediate
I & II and Advanced:

Intermediate: In this
class you will continue to build on your ballet movement and learn more
intermediate combinations at center floor. Advanced: This class if for the older students, they will
concentrate more on ballet movement and more complex combinations at center
floor.. Through the process of learning and performing, students will also gain
self-confidence and discipline. Come discover the fun of dancing .
Children need leotards, tights,
ballet shoes and their hair pulled back. This class may require and
additional fee for recital.

BUTOKUKAN KARATE: (Ages
7- Adult)
Butokukan Karate comes from the
fluid movement of the Chinese styles, softening the traditional hard style of
the Okinawans. With stretching and warm up exercises, you will learn
self-defense and well as KATA (form). Karate emphasizes breath control, correct
posture and balance.

Wednesday 6:00p.m.- 7:30p.m.
CHEERLEADING, Beginning: (Ages
7-13)
Do you have a child that is loud and likes to dance?
In this class we will be learning basic tumbling, stunts and cheers.
Children will also be introduced to basic dance routines and will be
able to perform in front of an audience. Please, no jewelry or dresses,
and hair must be pulled back.

CHEERLEADING, Advanced: (Permission
by Instructor only)
This class continues to build children's skill in
tumbling, stunts and cheers. Dance routines are advanced with more
choreographed moves. Clothing should be comfortable for exercising and please, no jewelry or dresses,
and long hair must be pulled back. There may be extra fees for uniforms in
advanced class only.

CONSTRUCTION ZONE: (Ages
3-6)
Build! Build! Build! — Build
all kinds of things... using Legos, waffle bocks, connectors, clay, wood and cardboard during this 45 minute opportunity for creative expression! Bring your
busy builder(s) for a true hands -on class.

GOJU-RYU KARATE: (Ages
6- Adult)
In this class you will learn a
variety of skills, from traditional Japanese exercises of karate to physical
fitness. Karate emphasizes balance, breath control, correct posture and visual
and mental concentration. With stretching and warm up exercises, you will learn
KATA (form) postures; KATA BUNKAE, which describes the actual application of the
techniques practiced in the Kata; YAKOSUKU KUMITE, or pre-arranged sparring; and
JIYU KUMITE or free sparring.

GYM KIDS: (Ages 3-6)
Tumbling, hopping, skipping,
balance beam!! This fun class is designed to develop both strength
and coordination in your child. “Gym Kids” Will learn basic gymnastic
body and arm positions, plus tumbling and balance beam skills while having a
great time with our “Y” staff.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT:
(Ages 3-6)
“Move your feet! Come on, move
those feet!” This 45 minute class will introduce your child to the rhythmic fun
of basic pre-school musical instruments, marching songs, and dancing.

Skip to the Beat: (Ages 3-6)
Children will have fun learning about musical rhythm and beats through a
multitude of media, such as percussion instruments, clapping, stomping, skipping
and many more. Join the fun and excitement of learning and exploring music.

TINY TOONS TUMBLING:
(Ages 18-36 months with a parent)
Help your child get a head
start on motor skills , coordination and confidence. Movement is everything!
We'll move on the mats, balance beam and on the floor . . maybe in the air!
Parents stay and help your child experience the joy of movement. Check us out
for a fun learning experience.

TUMBLE BEARS:
(Ages 3-6)
Jumping, skipping balancing on the beam, spinning and bouncing are only a few of
the skills we incorporate into this exciting class.
