Sponsorship
Opportunities
Sponsor
benefits include a long-lasting partnership with the Kitsap
Family YMCA, impacting thousands of children and families
throughout Kitsap County. The YMCA offers event sponsorship
recognition, logos or name on printed marketing materials,
on-location signage and much more in return for your generous
support.
There are three
levels of sponsorship support - Premier, Associate and Supporter.
The YMCA accepts monetary contributions as well as in-kind
donations toward sponsorship. Depending on the level of
support, we can maximize your exposure with your target
audience, creating an opportunity tailored to your specific
needs.

Strong Kids Campaign
Our Strong Kids
Campaign goal of
$80,000 for 2007 was reached!
Thanks to all our generous supporters and donors for helping us
reach our goal.
At the YMCA, one of our most important goals is to enrich the
lives of kids in our community. So that no one is denied a
chance to participate, we need your help.
The annual Strong Kids Campaign raises much needed money to
support such worthwhile programs as the Handicapped
Learn-To-Swim Program, Teen Late Night, Before/After School
Child Care and
scholarships for low-income families. Membership
and program fees do not cover all of the costs to support these
vital community programs. Your contributions help make it
happen. This campaign is your campaign.
Your generosity will continue to help benefit the lives of children in your
community. For details,
more info or contact
Glen Godfrey, YMCA Executive Director.
Handicapped Youth
Learn-to-Swim
GOAL: $8,000
For 46 years, the
YMCA’s Handicapped Youth Learn-to-Swim program has served
children cost free with a volunteer staff. For many youngsters
this is their only freedom of movement and it provides
self-confidence which helps them succeed in life. Participants
often go on to Special Olympics, which would have been
impossible without the dedication of YMCA volunteer instructors.
Includes Family Service
Department classes from Parent-child, tumbling, music, reading,
art, ballet, sign language, martial arts and much more. Special
assistance to enlisted military families and popular military
family DATE NIGHT.
Memorial Scholarships
GOAL: $3,000
Given annually in
honor and memory of A.H. (Ike) Parker, Dr. John P. Schutt, Jack
Buesch, Art & Bee Anderson, Brad Knight, Mary Norwood and Keith
Carden. Designated to provide scholarships for those who may be
just above financial guidelines, but unable to participate with
assistance.
Youth Programs
GOAL: $8,000
Includes Youth
Sports (Basketball, Indoor Soccer & Baseball), Swimming Lessons,
Splash & Jam and the in building Youth Activity Room. Thanks to
your support over 2,800 youth took part during 2006.
Teen Programs
GOAL: $19,000
Number-wise the
largest YMCA program serving 3,800 teens annually. Includes
Teen Late Night, Fairview Jr. Hi. Teen Nights, Teen weights,
Special Events and Youth & Government. In just Late Night 1,600
different teens participated in 2006. We believe there are few
comparable programs which reach the number of teens we do to
prevent teen substance abuse and violence. YMCA values of
Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility are
displayed, discussed and taught. Trash talk, filthy language
and disrespect are not tolerated. Teens know this up front and
learn to modify their behavior toward positive character
traits. It’s all not an easy task, however over time we see a
positive change in many, many young people.
Child Care/Camps
GOAL: $23,000
YMCA child care
includes before/after school “latchkey” with six school sites
serving up to 21 different schools, in-building child watch, and
two day camps reaching 3000 kids annually. For many children
the alternative to YMCA childcare is an empty house. Studies
show that children left to care for themselves after school,
whether rich or poor, from single or two parent homes, are twice
as likely to use tobacco, marijuana, and alcohol. This is true
regardless of a child’s sex, race, family income or academic
performance. YMCA Latchkey programs do indeed “Make a
Difference”!
YMCA Membership
Assistance GOAL:
$19,000
Low-income
families, adults, youth and group homes are provided support
enabling them to become YMCA members. Scholarships are provided
on a sliding scale based on income and number in the family.
The YMCA is the one place where everyone is welcome – the
results are changed lives and a stronger community.

Events
Throughout the year, our YMCA hosts several highly-visible
events in our community including; our TRI Y (Golf Tournament on
Friday, August 3rd and 5K-1Mile Fun Run and Quarter-Mile Swim on
Saturday, August 4th; a Harvest Social in the fall; and a Holiday Social
in December. As a sponsor
of one or more of these events, your business will reach thousands of YMCA
members and attendees, in addition to hundreds of other community
representatives.
Sports and Fitness
The
YMCA offers classes, leagues and tournaments to youth, teens and
adults alike. From jerseys and t-shirts to banners and
water bottles, as a sports and fitness sponsor, your sponsorship
dollars will really get a work out.
Youth, Teen and Family Service Classes and Programs:
Youth Programs
include Youth Sports (basketball, indoor soccer and baseball),
swimming lessons, Splash and Jam and the Youth Activity Room.
One of our
most successful programs, Splash and
Jam, is a great time for
everyone! The
program takes place every third Saturday
and
offers swimming, fun relay races, gym games, food,
G-rated movie
and a craft.
Teen Programs
include Teen Late Night, Fairview Jr., High, Teen Nights, Teen
Weights, special events and Youth & Government. In the Teen
Late Night program, 1,700 different teens participated. The
YMCA serves approximately 4,000 teens annually. We
believe that there are few comparable programs in our area that
reach the number of teens we do to help prevent substance abuse
and violence. Sponsorship of these programs will not only reach
the kids, but their parents as well. And with our new Activity
Center, there are more structured and varied programs being
offered throughout the day, not only for youths and teens, but
also for adults of all ages.
Family
Service classes engage parents and children
and range from tumbling, music, reading art, ballet, sign
language, martial arts and much more. We offer special
assistance to military families through various programs such as
very-popular program, “Date Night.”
