The Kitsap Family YMCA will provide a sit-down dinner with all the trimmings to Y Members and their guests. It has traditionally been a smashing success and the food is terrific!

Member Appreciation BBQ Picnic - Sept 8, 11 am -1 pm

We appreciated your patience while we shut down your Y for a week, when we spiff it up for you, our members. So to show you our appreciation, we threw you a FREE BBQ picnic...more than 200 members came out and enjoyed the great barbecue and good company! Our thanks to all our members and especially to those that attended the BBQ.

2008 EASTER EGG HUNT - Thursday, March 20th

We had a good turnout and kids found LOTS of colorful eggs in the Annual Y Easter Egg Hunt. Despite the wet grass outside, the gym and the Activity Center provided plenty of space for the little ones to enjoy the Hunt!

2007 Keith Carden Memorial Handball Tournament

Saturday, Dec 8th, 2007

Format was "Handicap Doubles" as in past years. Players will be paired to have teams as evenly matched as possible. Handicaps will be assigned where teams are of obviously uneven strength.

Tournament was won by the team of Jon Hohol and Don Curtis, beating the runner-up team of Jim Wainwright and YMCA Assoc. Executive Director, Jane Erlandsen.

WEIGHT ROOM COMPLETED UPGRADE!!

We appreciate your patience while we replaced the old Universal machines with the latest in state-of-the-art Cybex fitness equipment.

The second phase has completed and the new free weights, benches and dumbells have been installed! Now the YMCA weight room is the best equipped and most state-of-the-art in the County.

Congratulations to all those who persevered through the weather, the route changes and the temptations to complete this year Resolution Runs! We also want to thank all the volunteers who made it all possible.

Strong Kids Campaign
Our Strong Kids Campaign goal of $80,000 for 2007 was reached! Thanks to all our generous supporters and donors for helping us reach our goal. At the YMCA, one of our most important goals is to enrich the lives of kids in our community. So that no one is denied a chance to participate, we need your help.

The annual Strong Kids Campaign raises much needed money to support such worthwhile programs as the Handicapped Learn-To-Swim Program, Teen Late Night, Before/After School Child Care and scholarships for low-income families. Membership and program fees do not cover all of the costs to support these vital community programs. Your contributions help make it happen. This campaign is your campaign.

YMCA Members came out on a beautiful spring afternoon on the fenced field across from the Y, Thursday April 5th for the YMCA Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt was staged by age groups, so the little ones didn't get run over by the bigger kids...
