Child Care - Before/After School

Monday-Friday
5:15 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Saturday
8:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Sunday
12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

 

 

Our YMCA Child Care is a licensed child care program that welcomes all people, regardless of race, creed, gender or financial status. Although the YMCA Child Care program does not offer religious activities as part of the school year program, enrollment is not prohibited due to personal religious affiliations.  

Before and After School Child Care is offered a.m./p.m. in Central Kitsap and Bremerton school districts. and full-time enrolment includes day care for teacher in-service days, and early release program. Program components include the following: Homework help time (20-25 minutes daily), sport activities, arts and crafts, active honor club for grades 5 and 6, snacks and free choice activity stations.  Come in to the Y for a Registration packet, or contact Beth Pitts, Program Director, at (360) 377-3741. 

The hours of operation for Child Care may vary according to school schedule. See the bulletin board of your child’s site for verification of 2009-2010 schedule.  The general hours of operation for Child Care in Bremerton and Central Kitsap are as follows:  Monday-Friday, 6-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. 


2010-2011 YMCA Child Care

Registration Fee:  $40 per Child for Sept thru Aug (non-refundable)

Monthly Rates:        1st Child          Addl. Child   New rates for 2010-11
AM full-time                     $175                  $140
PM full-time                     $190                  $152
AM/PM Combined         $265                  $212

Note:  There may be some late-pickup charges that will be applied if prompt pickup times are not observed; or Special Attendance Days & Early Out Day charges may apply for non-A/PC enrollees - check with the YMCA Child Care office or the Information Kit details for clarification.

Transportation:     The YMCA will be able, on a limited basis, to offer transportation to/from a few of the connecting schools in CK School District. There will be an additional charge per month for this option.

     $40 per month and $35 per month for each additional child

YMCA Transportation Connections are Available for:

    Cottonwood Site -    Esquire Hills, Brownsville, Woodlands

    Silverdale Site -         Cougar Valley

 

Before and after school YMCA Child Care for 2010-2011 will include the following sites:

NOTE: If you need extend care, please contact the YMCA office @ 377-3741 for transportation To/From Cottonwood for early drop-off or late pick up option - space is limited.

Any families needing attendance under state paid programs (DSHS, etc.) will need to contact the YMCA Child Care billing office and their individual case worker to see if their enrollment qualifies for payment by them.

YMCA Child Care is a licensed child care program and accepts funding for services from DSHS as well as other financial assistance programs.  Contact the Kitsap Family YMCA Child Care billing office for additional information.  Immediate enrollment is available with verified account. Note: Program Registration and transportation fees are not  part of the scholarship discounts.

New Pre-School Program with Bremerton School District!
This is an opportunity for children of variable development stages to learn and grow socially and academically. The YMCA teacher will partner with a West Hills Special Education teacher and team teach the classes. More information here.

Childwatch - On site member drop-in care
 

Childwatch is an on-site program that exists for the convenience of our YMCA members and program participants. It is designed to accommodate children from one month to 5 years old.  

Hours: Monday– Friday, 8:30 a.m.– 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m.– 1:30 p.m.; Sunday, Closed.
